Accessories are a really easy way to change up your look each season. And they’re fun to add to your wardrobe! Spring and summer accessories can include anything from hats and jewelry to shoes, and bags. Just a VERY simple way to elevate your basics and take any look to the next level. Accessories are small details that actually pack quite a style punch. In this post, I wanted to share my top 12 favorites that I’ve either added to my wardrobe recently OR continue to wear season after season…because they are just that good.
If you are looking for new spring/summer shoes, you’ll love this post featuring 10 of my absolute favorites!
1) Prada Raffia Bag
This raffia Prada bag is great for summer AND it’s been ideal for travel. We recently traveled to the Middle East and I carried this bag from Israel to Jordan to the pyramids in Egypt. It’s lightweight yet big enough to carry all the essentials. It has a detachable shoulder strap and a removable pouch for quick-grab items like lipstick or keys. Because of its unique triangle shape, it works as both a sporty/casual and dressy bag making it incredibly functional. The white keeps coming in and out of stock, but it’s available in a pretty yellow and there is also a leather version that would easily transition from summer to fall.
2) Mercedes Castillo Slide Sandals
My husband Chris likes to keep a FULL itinerary when we travel and I needed to be prepared! I purchased these slides for our trip knowing they’d be comfortable for lots of walking and boy were they ever. They are versatile and stylish enough to wear with shorts, dresses, and jeans and they kept my feet cool too. For all the ladies asking about comfortable footwear for summer, these will not disappoint. The straps are adjustable so they work for narrow and wide feet.
3) Gucci Sunglasses
These sunglasses are the perfect accessory when you are rushing out the door and just need to throw on something to look pulled together. Because they are large frames, they are “no makeup required” sunglasses. You look effortlessly chic and they cover a pretty large portion of your face. Just add some lip gloss and you are out the door! Whether you go for these exact sunglasses or a more affordable option, a chic pair of sunglasses is an instant, easy way to elevate a look. For some modern and affordable sunglasses brands, check out Le Specs and QUAY. I also brought these Quay aviators on the trip and loved them!
4) Chloe Sneakers
Believe it or not, I hiked the West Bank in Israel in these Chloe sneakers…proving they are not only fashionable but functional too! The cool blanket stitching, mixed media style, and 2.5-inch platform were the initial draw to these unique sneakers. But, the comfort is what keeps me reaching for them consistently.
5) Valentino Belt
You need a nice belt for spring/summer AND fall/winter! So if you haven’t found one you love, now’s the time! I love these reversible Valentino belts. The white one reverses to black as does the honey brown one. If you’re looking for something more affordable, I love this belt too!
6) Paco Rabanne Statement Necklace
This gorgeous necklace by Paco Rabanne is a stunner! I love finding jewelry that is unique and bold. It hits in that sweet spot right around the collar bone too. I bought it in Dubai and was so happy to find it online so I could share the link with you. I wore it with dresses, jeans, shorts…pretty much everything. Statement pieces don’t need to be saved for dressy outfits.
7) Harriet Isles Packable Hat
Of course, during the summer you need a super chic hat! I’ve talked about how adding a hat to an outfit can make you look instantly more stylish. AND a packable hat for travel is a must. Elevate a casual tee and jeans look or wear it with a dress to add some edge. Hats are surprisingly versatile once you feel brave enough to wear them. The exact style is sold out but this is another similar option that’s also packable. For another Harriet Isles option, this hat is also great.

8) Bottega Veneta Bag
This GORGEOUS white Bottega Veneta cassette bag continues to be a favorite of mine! It’s so unique and truly a very special bag. The chain is hefty and luxe and I love the oversized woven leather that Bottega Veneta is known for. It’s pretty pricey but there are plenty of look-a-likes out there.
9) Initial Necklace
I’ve had this Oscar de la Renta initial necklace for over two years now and it really is the perfect necklace for layering! It’s also beautiful on its own too. I love bold gold jewelry and this necklace is a statement piece without being over the top. It’s gold-plated so it won’t tarnish. I stopped buying the cheaper stuff because it just goes in the garbage after one season.
10) Dean Davidson Hoops
I’ve been wearing these classic, gold hoops by Dean Davidson on repeat for several weeks now. They are the perfect size, 1.5 inches, whether I wear my hair up or down and they are very lightweight so they won’t pull down on your ear lobes. These would make a lovely Mother’s Day gift to give (or receive)!
11) Julie Vos Bracelet
Sticking with the jewelry theme, this Julie Vos bracelet is one of my absolute favorites. You may recognize it because I wear it with everything from dressy to more casual looks. I wear my Julie Vos pieces daily! These bracelets are gorgeous and make the perfect statement. I share more about them in this post. If you love the larger cuff, be sure to grab the smaller version too.
12) Pouch Clutch Bag
This cloud clutch handbag is by Mansur Gavriel. I did a video all about designer items and if they’re worth the money. In that video, I compared this mid-price range pouch bag to the über popular Bottega Veneta bag. This one is so similar in style but at a fraction of the price! It’s still a little pricey so I found this one from Amazon that’s another great option! The pouch bag style is very trendy right now and it’s definitely a fun addition for summer!
